Leesville Road XC+TF

Dragonfly. This is the official registration system for Leesville Road, Wake County, and NCHSAA. Every Athlete and Coach must be set up, registered, and cleared in Dragonfly. Regardless of an athlete’s 2022-2023 status, Dragonfly registrations must be updated for 2023-2024. This includes middle school — those athletes will need to either connect their middle school profile to Leesville Road High School or create a new profile for Leesville Road High School.

Prevent extra work later. Select 2023-2024 Men’s or Women’s Cross Country, both Varsity and JV. Also consider adding Indoor Track and Outdoor Track at the same time… if not interested now, you could change your mind later. If you have other sports of interest soccer, wrestling, basketball, lacrosse, etc… add those, same time.

Medical Forms. There are 2 that must be signed by a physician: (1) PPE Physical Examination Form and (2) PPE Medical Eligibility Form. They must be signed, dated, and have the athlete’s name on each page (with DOB). To upload these, scan or take a photo (don’t let the form get cropped into a partial photo). These forms expire at 1 year from the date of exams. You must keep current on these. Many athletes get them updated during the summer to avoid a lapse while in-season. Occasionally, some local physicians sponsor/offer “discounted sports physicals”. You can also go to places like CVS Minute Clinic for a Sports Physical.

Mobile vs PC. If you experience any issues with Dragonfly, use a PC, not the mobile app or mobile browser. They are not the same. A PC browser interacts with the Dragonfly databases much differently.

Cleared? You are not cleared until your 2023-2024 “status wheel” goes green at 100%. If you have completed all things and still don’t hit 100%, feel free to contact me, and I can look at it. When updating medical forms, there is a review cycle through the school, and it can take time (please be patient).

Breakfast at Umstead. Saturday, 8:15am. Come meet the team, coaches, and get started running. We will be starting up with a Breakfast Run at Umstead Park on 6/10, 8:15am. Returning Athletes, New Athletes, Parents, Coaches… all are welcome to run, walk, hang out, help with food. Look for more details via email after completing an interest form. Location – Main Entrance off 70, follow this main entrance road all the way to the end (dead ends in a parking lot).

Regional Champion — Shot Put: Tony Taylor
Men’s Team finished 2nd, following 1st place 2022. Several outstanding performances and every point mattered… beating out 3rd place by 1/2 point. It came down to the 4×400 earning 1 additional point from the slower 4×400 heat and 0.06seconds margin.
Women’s Team finished 13th, improving from 19th in 2022. Great performances, and ready to continue the move up during the next school year. This is a younger team, including 2 Freshmen who produced points. More to see here in the future!
